What is the Holy Spirit’s roll in helping us discern and walk in the truth?
As Believers, God gives us the Holy Spirit which lives inside of us.
The Holy Spirit never leaves us. He teaches us, comforts us, encourages us, is always working for us and in us. He reminds us of Jesus’ words. He convicts us in our sins and guides us to the truth.
For me, when I accepted Jesus into my life and received the Holy Spirit, I have had what I call “Wow Moments”. One, after another, after another.
Through my studies in seeking God, I have seen over and over how life without Jesus just doesn’t make any sense. When I was an unbeliever, I had been attacked by Satan many times in my life… I was subjected to so much pain…Now God does not say that as a “Believer” you will not be subjected to Satan and his antics, but what he does say is to “Put on salvation as your helmet and take the sword of the spirit which is the word of God” (Eph 6:17). See my “Wow Moments” happen because I feel things inside of me through the Holy Spirit and then I read about them in the bible…How cool is that!
The Holy Spirit has directed me to so many verses that have shown me how awesome God really is…What is so cool about reading the bible and growing in your relationship with God is finding out that, if we follow His word, we would live amazingly joyous lives…He gave us everything we need. He shows us how he protects us and how much He loves us…
Although I could share many of these verses with you, here are just a few of my favorite…
Galatians 5:22-23 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. There is no law against thest things.
Eph. 3:17 says Jesus will make His home in your heart the more you trust Him, your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
Bottom line for me is…God’s got my back and He has yours too!!!! Remember, He saved you by His grace when you believed….Now trust in Him with all your heart and seek Him in all you do! With the Holy Spirit on our side, we can't lose!!!

I think it's important to listen to the Holy Spirit every day. When something has gone terrible wrong in my life and I think back, did I get a warning from the Holy Spirit? I can honestly say "Yes" and it was ignored by my flesh. This blog is encouraging me to listen more and act according to the Holy Sprint and know the flesh is weak, but God is stronger. Thanks for your insight Miss Moore. :-)
